 APPLICATION, INTERVIEW, AND HIRING PROCESS

Thank you for your interest in working for our company.  Our jobs are hospitality and food service jobs.  They offer mostly part-time work.  We welcome your application.

        You are considered an applicant only when you:

•1.       Have filled out an application form for a current opening, legibly and completely, including the last five years of employment and non-employment history (using additional sheets if necessary); and

•2.       Meet the minimum requirements for the job; and

•3.       Complete the Step One Survey II over the internet.  After you fill out an application, you will be instructed how to connect with the Survey.

All three of the above conditions must be met before your application is considered.

•2.       We accept applications during business hours and conduct interviews by appointment only.

•3.       We interview those applicants who, in our sole judgment, have the skills, education, and qualifications we are seeking and appear best qualified to meet the requirements of a particular job.  Usually, we will advise applicants as to the status of their application either by telephone or by letter.

•4.       When an applicant comes in for a job interview, we would expect he or she to be dressed and groomed appropriately for the job they are applying for.  When in doubt about how to dress for a job interview, remember the rule to dress one step up from how a person would normally dress for that particular job. 

•5.       Job offers are made solely by the Human Resources Department.  No expectation of pay increases, benefits, or guaranteed hours is implicit in any offer.

•6.       We have a lot of applicants for all of our jobs.  Please know that everything is being done to insure that we hire the best person for the job.

•8.       Proof of citizenship or immigration status will be required upon employment.  A list of acceptable documents is posted for your information.  After every person is hired, we check to make sure that the information we have been given matches exactly what the Social Security Administration has on file.

•9.       Individuals under 16 years of age are not hired.  Some jobs may require a minimum age of 18 because of U.S. Department of Labor Child Labor laws.  Other jobs may prefer a person with a high school diploma.

 

•10.   Food handling jobs require a current food handlers permit from any county in Utah.  This must be presented before starting work.

 

•11.   This company does reference checks and criminal background checks.

 

•12.   A copy of a person's Utah Department of Motor Vehicle record may be required if the job requires driving.
